Message of condolences from the CPG(m-l) to the progressive and revolutionary people of Philippines for the death of Crispin "Ka Bel" Beltran

On behalf of the members and the leadership of Communist Party of Greece (marxist-leninist), shocked by Crispin "Ka Bel" Beltran's death, we convey our deepest and sincerest condolences to his family and his comrades in the working and national-liberation movement in the Philippine, of which he was an esteemed member for decades of strong and heroic struggles for the national liberation and social emancipation of the working class and the Philippino people. Crispin "Ka Bel" Beltran in his whole life was a tireless activist of the working movement in the Philippines who contributed in every stage with his activity in the resistance and the struggles that took place. He stood against the United States' war of aggression on Iraq and its war on terror. He also was steadfast in his call for respect for national sovereignty and international unity against foreign intervention. He was an active elected representative –for 3 times- of ANAKPAWIS and KMU chairperson, whose work was significant within the country. He contributed resolutely in the foundation of the ILPS and became its first chairperson. His recent detention for a year and a half generated an international solidarity movement until he was released. He became the symbol of resistance and uncompromised militancy. His legacy is a valuable consignment, not only for his comrades but for all the Philippino people.
