*The party Red, Norway, mourn the loss of "Ka Bel", outstanding
representative of the class-struggle and National democratic revolution
of the Philippine.*

On behalf of the party Red, Norway, we wish to convey our most heartfelt
condolences to the family and all comrades, in special in the KMU, of
Comrade Crispin Beltran, "Ka Bel" on the passing away of Ka Bel May
19th.

Ka Bel did play an important role, not only for the working class and
oppressed peoples of the Philippines, but also for the struggle all over
the world., through his firm committment and longstanding fight. Many
comrades from Norway also met him and was inspirered by his
vigilance and concrete application of the revolutionary line.

He was in the forefront of the struggle all the time since the struggle
against the Japanese occupation during World War "", through the
struggle against the Marcos dictatorship and all the way to the present
day. He was an outstanding fighter for national liberation and democracy
for over fifty years. In the latest days he held his positions as
chairman of the Anakpawis (Toiling Masses) party list and as member of
the Philippine House of Congress. He excelled in defending the national
and democratic rights and interests of the workers, peasants, urban poor
and other exploited people and in fighting the US-imposed policy of
neoliberal globalization and the US-instigated global war of terror.

Ka Bel's death is a great loss, but more importantly his life will
forever serve as an inspiration to continue the people's struggle for
genuine freedom
and democracy.

Oslo, Mat 21th 2008

Comradely regards

The party Red, Norway
Arnljot Ask, international secretary.
