Dear comrades,
I have just been informed ! I won' t be able to see Crispin again! I
just can’t believe! This is something terrible and hard to realize!
I have known Crispin for so many years ! In fact since my first trip
in Manilla back 20 years ago, and so many times after in France like
in the Philippines at that time when the relations with CGT was so
strong!
I will always remember him as a great trade union leader , some one
who was totally identified with the revolutionnary struggle of the
KMU, and the working class of the Philippines, fighting against
fascist and compradores regimes, transnationals corporations and IMF,
imperialism!
All his life was part of the glorious history of the People of the
Philippines and this is why Crispin Beltran is a hero who will enter
the Pantheon of the great leaders of the international working class
movement!
I am proud to have known such militant, but more I am proud to have been
his friend, more his comrade of struggle , his brother!
Please express my deep sorrow to Crispin's family , to all his
friends and comrades from the KMU!
